Two Critical Issues To Be Voted On At BOE Meeting This Evening
The following two issues are to be voted on this eveing at the BOE meeting : O. Rescind the approval of a contract with the The Special Children’s Center, Inc. to provide a Title I Preschool Program for the 2009-2010 school year previously awarded at the September 17, 2009 board meeting. The Special Children’s Center, Inc. has notified the district that they will be unable to provide the program as originally planned and has requested that their proposal be withdrawn. P. Approve a contract with Tiny Tots to provide a Title I Preschool Program for the 2009-2010 school year in an amount not to exceed $900,000 for a full-day pilot program for up to 120 students. Tiny Tots submitted a proposal which was opened on September 9, 2009 in response to the Request for Proposals advertised in the Asbury Park Press on August 25, 2009 and in the Star Ledger on August 26, 2009. Tiny Tots proposal was the lowest cost, however, The Special Children’s Center, Inc. based on mutual negotiations offered to match Tiny Tots proposal. The program is to begin on or about November 1, 2009 and is exclusively a public school program. The district will select the students based on approved criteria. The program operations are subject to the availability of funding from Title I – ARRA grant funds, which are exclusively Title I Public funds. The program can be renewed for the 2010-2011 school year based on availability of funds and performance of the contractor. The award of the contract is contingent upon program approval by the New Jersey Department of Education due on or about October 30, 2009.

I thought the bussing was canceled because of lack of FUNDS. not DRIVERS. 2 years ago there were drivers, what happened to them? If we are paying them they better report to work.
We all knew they would find a way to get the money over to tiny tots in the end. It Is all one big corruption. we need a whole new board to get voted in.
what is the going hourly rate for an OT?
I don’t see what the problem is with tiny tots. Please explain why this is so critical?
If we were willing to pay them, they’d report to work, even on the days mentioned. Why are the budget cuts always on the backs of the non-public students?
This is what is called “egg in the face” to the LAC. You gotta love it.
It seems to me that some lakewood people don’t want any jews to make money like tiny tots mi herschel ect if we all would just mind are own business evertything would be okay
Anon 8:37,
Seems that the lac’s problem does in fact stem from not being able to control their “jealousy”
Tiny Tot’s program will be for the general population of Lakewood.
