  1. The 2 republican losing districts- 7 and 14 are predominantly African American. http://www.twp.lakewood.nj.us/town_poll.htm so whoever says that Obama did not have an effect on this election is apparently out of their mind. Clearly, the only ones who still respect our venerable president’s opinion is the African American community. What is more shocking is that the districts that were most slanted PRO republican is the elderly districts- all the retirement communities. Everyone knows that the older folks are ALWAYS staunch democrats. Dare I say this is a sign of the weakness of our current administration- they are hemorrhaging supporters at an alarming rate.

  2. why didnt anybody vote for sam barski he would have set evrthing straight i guess next year. He is from the most prominent people in the entire jersey. new york tmes qouted mr barski “Reality can destroy the dream; why shouldnt the dream destroy reality”

  3. To the Choshiva Oilom in Lakewood,
The truth may now come out. Governor Corzine would have done nothing for the Lakewood Kehilla if we wouldn’t have endorsed him. Christie, who is true to his core principles, will still push for vouchers even though we didn’t back him. Also don’t worry- he understands why we endorsed Corzine, and is not angry at our Kehilla because of it. He gets the concept of hakoras hatov, and will try to get it from us in four years time. The ‘frum goyim’ get it too. Now is the time for Lakewood to come back together, and stop the finger pointing and name calling. Yad melachim B’yad Hashem, and Yidden, as Maaminim bnei maaminim, have to realize that reality. What we do as a VAAD was, is, and will always be, on behalf of the klal.
    I remain,
    A VAAD Member

  4. Mr VAAD member
Are you saying what you just said with a straight face the people of Lakewood saw right through you and your agendas .Unfortunately the “choshivah oilom ” does not trust you and that is no one’s fault but your own for not being truthful enough and transparent enough . The vaad needs a shake up from the top down THE ENTRENCHED ONES MUST GO and they needs to be replaced with people that represent the overall demographics of the frum Lakewood community not just the interests of a few . You have been the cause of the loss of achdus that has emerged from this unfortunate set of events. My hope is that we will be able to get back together and resume our title of voting block which we lost in this last run by formulating a true and just vaad that is able to show the kehillah that they are the one and only agenda that is important to the VAAD .

  5. In reference to the Obama comments the same voters who showed up for mccain the loser showed up for Christie but hank God that Obama did not have to depend on Ocean County and even worse Lakewood or he would have been sunk . the closer an elction is to Lakewood the more skewed the political process.
