Rabbi Danziger is a great addition to the Raintree community. Now there are 2 full fledged shul’s. Rabbi Witty’s Shul on Alvarado and Rabbi Danziger’s Shul on Laguna. Much hatzlocha to Rabbi Danziger.

Note: There are many poskim of significant stature (R’ Shlomo Miller comes immediately to mind) who disagree with R’ Gorelick in this issue.

please note for your information, there is a third Shul! The Bais Medrash of Raintree, The only Ashkenaz Minyan under the leadership of Rav Yedidya Pereira.

What does Rabbi Gorelick hold about the supposed eiruv connecting the Red/White Oak neighborhood to the shul @ Brook & Seventh through Ridge Ave.?

There is a persistent shmu’a that there is NO Rav Hamachshir who will stand behind it, and anyone I asked said that they would not rely on the fencing around Ocean County Park to permit carrying on that street on Shabbos Kodesh.

    Can someone clarify??

what about Rav Yedidya Pereira of the Bais Medrash of Raintree at 1212 Todd Court? It’s the only Ashkenaz Minyan in the neighbourhood!

THERE ARE 3 MINYANIM IN RAINTREE 1 TRUE YESHIVISHE MINYAN ON THE CORNER OF TODD AND EAST COUNTYLINE OF REB YEDIDYAH PEREIRA THE OTHER 2 CAME AFTER AND ARE MIXED, ONE MORE THAN THE OTHER OF BALEI BATIM YESHIVA LEIT AND ETC… REB YEDIDYAH IS THE ONLY ASKENAZ MINYAN IN RAINTREE ITS FAR FROM ALL PARTS I THINK ITS TIME FOR ANOTHER ASKENAZ MINYAN IN RAIN TREE

why would we need another Minyan? Let’s first make sure all these Minyonim are strong and running smooth!

  • karpas says:

#14 Reb Yedidyahs shul is not far from all parts. Todd Ct. is a totally frum block and so are many of the nearby blocks. Its a fully equiped up to date shul with a large library and a mikva. Its also the only Ashkenaz minyan in Raintree and the davening is very nice.

Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Gorelick has the backing of ALL Poskim and Roshai Yeshiva in Lakewood. Please note: I also heard that at present Rabbi Shlomo Miller does not disagree with him!

Who cares about yeshivash/bala batish/heimish/only ashkenaz. its exactly a year ago that we had such achdus davening for the kedoshie Mumbai. Let’s keep that attitude and very quickly the pettiness that is killing our beautiful community will be beautiful again.

I PERSONALLY SPOKE WITH RABBI FORSCHHEIMER AND RABBI KATZ AND THEY BOTH SAID THAT RIDGE AVE IS A RESHOS HAROBIM DORAISA BUT THEN OTHER PEOPLE TRYED TELLING THEM THAT ITS NOT SINCE I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE WHO WAS IN THE ROOM WHEN SOMEONE TREYED TELLING RABBI KATZ THAT ITS NOT AND HE DIDN’T AGREE BUT IT TURNED INTO A POLITICAL CASE SO NOW THEY BOTH WON’T PASKEN SINCE IT TURNED INTO A POLITICAL STORY THEY DECIDED TO BE MISALEK THEMSELVES BUT IF YOUR SOMECH ON THE BORO PARK ERUV THEN YOU CAN BE SOMECH ON THIS ERUV SINCE YOU HOLD YOU NEED SIX HUNDRED THOUSEND PEOPLE BUT THE MISHNE BERURA AND R’ AHRAN KOTLER SAID YOU HAVE TO BE MACHMIR THAT EVEN LESS THE SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE MAKE A RESHUS HAROBIM

  • Shomer Shabbos says:

    To # 27,

So essentially you agree that there is NO Lakewood Posek that will currently stand behind the ridge ave eiruv. That sure is reassuring, isn’t it??

Also, claiming (anonymously) that it’s no different than the boro park eiruv won’t help any – because keyadu’ah the tzibbur of Bnei Torah are vehemently against that shtik which is keneged the Psak of the biggest gedolim..
