bugs in cashew_wm(PHOTO: Click on image to enlarge) Just minutes after being warned about possible bugs in Cashews, a Yungerman was shocked to find two bugs in his nut. The Yungerman, eating Cashews in Kollel this morning, was approached by another Yungerman who told him to be aware of the possibility of bugs in Cashews. The Yungerman acknowledgd that, and then proceeded to check each Cashew. Approximately 15 Cashews later, the Yungerman found two bugs-one live and one dead-in his Cashew.

Crushed nuts are the worst. It is a very big problem.if you don’t check them first. Once the nuts are crushed they are useless.

IF THESE ARE KOSHER CASHEW NUTS THEN MAYBE ANOTHER PROCESS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO MAKE THEM MORE KOSHER TO KILL THE BUG. THE SAME PROCESS THEY USED IN MAKING A CHICKEN A KOSHER CHICKEN.

Isnt the point of a hashgocha to let you know its ok to eat? The hashgocha should be checking random and there should be no need for a consumer to check once the mashgiach clears a batch.

Should the mashgeiach cook it for you also? What if the bugs are in your kitchen
