Your Voice Was Heard….Potholes Are Being Repaired

Mar 05 2010 9:06 am

pothole rt 88You complained and TLS took action. Last week, we posted an article about the many Potholes around town which were in need of immediate attention and asked you to list the Potholes you’re aware of, so that we can submit it to the appropriate parties. Dozens of Potholes were listed. We sent in the list to Committeeman Menashe Miller who upon receiving the list, immediately submitted a list of all the Township roads to the Department Of Public Works. TLS spoke with Department of Public Works Head John Franklin this morning who confirmed that he recived the list and that the crews are currently patching them.

However, these patches are temporary patches called a ‘Cold’ Patch. The permanent patches-known as ‘Hot’ patches-will be applied some time later in the month when the temperature allows it.

TLS will continue to monitor the Pothole repair operations and keep you updated.

Below is the list of the Township road potholes which some readers listed, and which were submitted to DPW. The State and County Roads will be submitted to the appropriate entities.

One lane on North Lake Drive from Cedar Row to Oak Knoll was done, but the other side (from Oak Knoll to Cedar Row as missed)

I seem to recall a while back the township was very proud of their new truck that can fill potholes in a jiffy without requiring the driver to leave the vehicle; what ever happened that marvelous purchase?

On Chestnut just west of Coughlin, 2 of them about 6 inches deep and square, just the right one to ruin a tire on. I ruined 2 – 3 week old tires on these pot holes
