Two Lakewood-based businesses are out thousands of dollars today after being defrauded by stolen credit cards, Detective Lieutenant William Addison tells TLS. The businesses – a beauty supplies business and another wholesale company – both located in the Industrial Park area, were selling products online when they discovered that the items they shipped, were purchased with stolen credit cards.
The credit card fraud – on a rise in this economy – may have cost the businesses close to $5,000 Addison says
Properly verifying the credit cards prior to shipping out the purchased items says Addison, can help avoid these situations.

There are very easy ways to avoid a loss of the chance of stolen credit cards. Using Avs codes and only shipping to the billing address or verifying the billing address. Why didnt these people use this?? it is very basic
