Graffiti Vandals Strike Again, PBA President Says Second ‘Paint The Town’ Expected This Month

gary przewoznick pba president at cleanup tlsAfter off duty Police Officers of the LPD spent a day of their time cleaning graffiti around town, this Ridge Avenue fence – one of the fences cleaned by the Local PBA 71 during their first ever ‘Paint The Town’ cleanup – was vandalized again. But Local PBA’s President Gary Przewoznick tells TLS, they’re planning a second ‘Paint The Town’ cleanup sometime this month.

On August 20th, PBA Local 71 conducted their first ever ‘Paint The Town’ operation, in an effort to give back to the community, and set out to clean up multiple fences targeted by graffiti vandals. (See video and photos here).

On September 20th, TLS reported of two teenagers who were caught vandalizing one of those cleaned fences, and were arrested. Days later, they were ordered by the Police to clean up their mess. (See video here).

The date of this month’s cleanup has not yet been announced, but those who wish to assist in the cleanup by donating to the PBA Local 71, can do so by sending their donations to Lakewood P.B.A. Local 71
P.O. Box 1519, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Or, by calling the PBA at 732-363-0200 Extension 8238.

If you’d like to assist the officers in the actual cleanup, you can volunteer for that as well, by calling the above number.

  1. This is becoming problemaitc. It was a nice gesture boys…. If the clean up would have worked then it would have been grand . But the prblem is not graffitti. Its THE GANGS THAT ARE IN TOWN PERPETRAITING IT NOW GET DOWN TO BUSINESS AND GET THEM OUT!!!!

  2. You have to start someplace. The police are working as hard as they can, you can not be everywhere all the time..this is why they ask for our help. It gets to the point some people think its a waste..not them. Most of the officers either grew up in this town or had relatives here so it gets personal, but you can not let that get to them

  3. If the officers thought trying to help this town was a wasted effort they would have stopped showing up for work a long time ago. Bravo to them for ALL their efforts to help and support this town!
