Video: Police Arrest Man Believed To Be Armed Robbery Suspect, Weapon Recovered

VIDEO: Police have arrested an armed suspect this evening, possibly the suspect responsible for the earlier armed robbery on Lexington Avenue. Shortly after the armed robbery on Lexington Avenue, officer Erik Miick spotted a man matching that description riding a bike on 3rd Street and Monmouth Avenue.

As the suspect spotted the officer, he began riding away, despite orders to stop.

The suspect then dropped his bike and fled on foot.

The officer gave chase and after a short foot chase, caught up with the suspect on 3rd Street, between Monmouth and Lexington Avenues. He was immediately arrested.

Also assisting in the arrest was officer Nate Reyes.

After a short search, police located a gun, possibly the weopon used in the armed robbery.

It’s unknown at this time if the suspect is the same man wanted in last night’s robbery on Forest Avenue.
