Matzeiva Of Leiby Kletzky A’H Unveiled Ahead Of First Yahrtzeit

PHOTOS & VIDEO: In a small – yet emotional – event this afternoon, a Hakomas Matzeiva was held for Leiby Kltzky A’H. R’ Nachman Kletzky and family were joined by Rav Binyomin Eisenberger and about 30 others as the Matzeiva of Leiby was unveiled ahead of the first Yahrtzeit.

After reciting several Kapitlach of Tehillim and the Keil Maleh Rachamim, R’ Nachman Kletzky and other family members lit a candle and placed a stone on the Matzeiva.

“As he left school, he was chosen as a Korbon Tzibur”, the Matzeiva reads. “The world shook” when it learned of his death, and says it “brought Klal Yisroel to Teshuva.”

The event concluded with the singing of Acheinu Kol Beis Yisroel.

Leiby’s Yahrtzeit is the eleventh of Tamuz.

  1. anyone remembers what the wake-up call from Hashem was of the Kletzky tragedy?

During the month of june 2011-over the time of 2 weeks-3 tzaddikim, from 3 different corners of the world left to the Olam Haemes (true world) & they’re names were Harav Yitzchok Dov Koppelman ZT”L from Europe, Harav Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz ZT”L from Eretz Yisroel & Harav Chaim Stein ZT”L from the U.S.A. When a tragedy like this strikes the world everyone is asking what is the message from Hashem?. The RAMCHAL in Sefer Derech Hashem quotes, when klal yisroel is in a state of Sinning R”L, suffering & pain may be imposed upon a tzaddik as an atonement for his entire generation. In doing so the Tzaddik is raised to a level of leadership in Gan eden. When THREE tzaddikim are niftar in a matter of two weeks, Hashem is already on the level of begging klal yisroel to just start Teshuva & show a sign of remorse & repentance so that it does not need to continue Chas V’shalom on to a fourth tzaddik. Then These 3 Tzaddikim (above) were not enough. so this time Hashem sent a DIFFERENT KIND of tzaddik-a boy at the age of 8 R”L who has not sinned yet-to wake us all up to come to teshuva & STOP KEEP ON PUSHING IT OFF. This tragic event-of Leiby Kletzky- brought Achdus (unity) to klal yisroel but it was not enough to bring klal yisroel to confess & start doing teshuva so Hashem took 3 more tzaddikim away to the olam Haemes to wake us up to teshuva- Rabbi Dunner from England, The spinka rebbe of Yerushalyim at the early age of 79 & the next day the Baba Sali’s grandson Rav Elazar Abuchatzeirah was Stabbed to Death by another yid- that makes 7 Tzaddikim niftar in a matter of 5 weeks. will this be enough or will it need to continue? that is up to all of us.

MAY THIS REMINDER BE A Z’CHUS FOR HIS NESHAMA

  2. this past Tsha Bav. I went to Lieby kever, upon entering the field near the kever a chosid from Monroe was leaving ,teary face. I said a few kapitel tehilimand all of a sudden a family came. They where not Yissivish looking ,they came with their colored shirts and light colored pants. The parents spoke to their children about the tradgedy and then said Tehelim. I looked around the grave and thought . You Lieby united all of us , all of us came to pray , came to give you some comfort. no matter what color our shirt or hat ,we are all united. May you continue to unite us in Ahavs Yisroel .May our tefilos reach Kese Hakoved ,where you are standing near by.

May your wonderful parents and family have no more zar.

  3. We decided to send our only son, who is 81/2, to Yeshiva this September. He was accepted into the third grade. Our decision was made during the time of this tragedy and our son knows of Leiby and what a true role model of a mentch and ben Torah he was. Little Leiby, a little boy who united us all played a large role in the timing of our decision. We will always remember you and your family.

May the Kletzky’s have no more sorrow. May they have simcha and nachas.
