Members of the 87th Civil Engineer Squadron are scheduled to conduct explosive training at the joint base ranges today. Training is scheduled to occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m.
As a result of this important training, some residents may hear more noise than usual coming from the joint base’s ranges and may experience possible ground shaking. Additionally, noise from the ranges may travel farther if weather conditions are overcast.
“Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst works hard to minimize the impact training has on its surrounding communities and is committed to remaining good neighbors”, says Joint Base MDL. TLS.
maybe that explains why I saw so many military planes flying at fairly low altitudes heading toward McGuire AFB on Mon.
Couldn’t possibly be any more noisy than the busses running all over town until 11pm
or the one that can hit 50 on my street into a culdesac then backs up to get out………
But could it be louder then the complaints on TLS? Probably not.
