  1. A woman that words will never be able to describe who she really was! Her devotion and love to all was unreal! She was litterly a mother to so many girls!

  2. Boruch Dayan Haemes. She was such a special person. SHe helped me so much during my years at BRuriah, I would never be who and where I am today if it wasnt for her.

  3. I want to thank you for giving my daughters an unbelievable high school experience. You will always be remembered in their hearts and their minds. I also had the privilege of working with you while I worked at the JEC. It was an honor to know you. What a wonderful family. Marsha Schenker

  4. She was a wondeful woman and a superb role model. I was fortunate to be one of her students. She changed my life and therefore, those of my children…I came from a nonobservant home and she inspired me to become observant. I will always remember being a guest for shabbos in her home. I am forever grateful to her and her family.

  5. Mrs Newman was a unique educator. She knew how to reach out to every student and build her up. She was full of verve and vigor and school was inspiring and exciting. An outstanding principal – guiding, advising and assisting. So many Yiddishe homes today have their roots in the chinuch Bruriah provided under her tutelage. A true mamshicha l’tiferes of Sarah Schenirer A”H.

  6. What ah derhoibene women and yet so down to earth.. Neshama sh’mutzov artza v’roshuh magiah hashamayima. Her aitzos were helpful throughout the Bais Yaakov movement. We all owe her a debt of gratatude. Y’hee Zichruh Baruch!

  7. Were it not for Mrs Newman’s patience with me, i wouldn’t be the wife and mother i am today. She gave me the chance to make mistakes and the help to fix them for myself. She cared about me like a parent and gave me a tremendous respect for educators. Her life’s work will live on for generations in the homes created by her students.

  8. Chaya (ah) was an amazing woman. She was not only a great wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was a brilliant Menaheles. She cared for every single student deeply. She not only taught them Torah, but she taught them Torah Im Derech Eretz. She was the greatest role model to every woman and girl. My family had the honor of knowing her when she was a young girl. It was no surprise that she became who she was. She will be missed by all, but is no doubt providing H-shem with great joy now that she is in Olam Haemes. Your Torah, inspiration, kindess, generosity will live on and on. We will miss you Chaya dearest.
