CIU Investigating Burglary At Boys Elementary School

Authorities this evening are investigating a break in at the Mesoras Avos boys school which reportedly occurred earlier this evening, police say. The burglars apparently entered through a window and rummaged through multiple offices in the building and made off with an unspecified amount of cash.

According to video surveillance pulled from the school, the suspects are described as black or Hispanic thin-built males, with one wearing a light grey hoodie and blue jeans with brown work  boots, and the second suspect wearing a dark hoodie with dark jeans and boots..

Last year, two Molotov Cocktails were thrown into the same school in an apparent arson attempt.

CIU is investigating the burglary. TLS-46/TLS-CCP.

  1. Does one think it’s time that the Mesoras Avos boys school invest in a video survelience system? This way they can apprehend the intruders on tape.

  2. How come there was cash in a school?? Shouldnt it be in a safe someplace or in a bank? Who keeps cash in a drawer in a school with the history of this town going down the tubes

  3. i love the ‘blame the victim’ that goes on here. it’s always the fault of the one who ‘left his window unlocked’, or ‘kept cash in the school’. yet when it comes to car accidents and people getting hit, it’s ‘those drivers on the phone’, or ‘those impatient people’. maybe it’s the other way around. what happened to people keeping their hands to themselves? and to their own property? what happened to looking both ways before crossing? i recently almost hit a cyclist traveling at high speed on the sidewalk who didn’t even think twice about looking if cars were at the intersection! I was taught that if riding on the sidewalk, you get off the bike and walk it across the the intersection. the town will indeed be safer for all, if everyone behaves decently.
