Clearly distraught about rumors flying around all day, a family member of Jacob Ostreicher tells TLS they do not have any information about him being released.
“I know nothing about him coming home”, the family member said, adding that if she knew, she would love to share the information.
The family member says it appears the rumors about Jacob being released following the high-profile arrests, originated from an email sent out today ‘hoping for his release’, which some interpereted it as being a statement saying he was – or is being – released.
TLS has received many inquires today as to the legitimacy of the rumors, which the family member says are causing unnecessary stress to the already stressful situation.
“When people put out these unconfirmed messages, many people call to find out about it – it’s very stressful to the family.”
However, the recent high-profile Bolivian arrests which included a Judge, is hopefully an indication that “things are headed in the right direction”, the family member says. TLS.
