PHOTOS: Chai Lifeline of Lakewood on Monday evening hosted an Evening of Tranquility for over one hundred women from the community.
The evening, at a Toms River hotel, was geared towards mothers who are dealing with illness, to provide a break from the rigorous routine of their challenging lives.
The hotel was beautifully decorated to enhance a relaxed atmosphere and the guests were treated to a variety of spa services such as a massage, manicure, reflexology, wig touch-up, paraffin hand treatment and more.
“When going through such a difficult time, I almost never get out and certainly never do anything for myself”, one mother marveled. “Chai Lifeline not only understands the need, but they actually make it happen and in the most sensitive, enjoyable way.”
The event’s success is attributed to the 25 vendors who gave generously of their time to provide services free of charge, and to the dedicated fitness instructors.
The peaceful ambiance and elegant décor was arranged by a group of the following dedicated women: Mrs. Chumi Fried, Mrs. Margalit Lankry, Mrs. Sharon Langert, Mrs. Rochel Leah Stern, Mrs. Chavie Chase, Mrs. Chani Wallin and Mrs. Sarah Lassry.
The food was sponsored by, The Pizza Place, Yussis Deli, Dlux Sushi, Circa, Green Bowl, Shulamis Shuck, Cup of cake, Baskets by Blimie.
And last but not least, the entire event was made possible thanks to the generous owners of the Holiday Inn Toms River and Rabbi Aryeh Adest. TLS.
