Driver Critically Injured in Rt 70 MVA

PHOTO: A driver was critically injured after being involved in a serious accident on Route 70, police say. The accident occurred about 10:30 AM on the Eastbound lanes of Route 70 between Towbin Road and Airport Road, when a driver rear ended another vehicle.

The driver of the van, was transported to KMC with CPR in progress, Sergeant Frank Work of Lakewood Traffic and Safety Division tells TLS.

The other driver was also transported to KMC with non life-threatening injuries.

The Traffic and Safety Division is investigating the crash.

The road has been re-opened at about 12:15 PM.

    Another accident in lakewood. it doesnt go by a week with no accidents. Whats the problem here?Something must be very very wrong in this town.

    I believe most can be blamed on inattentevness,and cell phones. In Lakewood we have seen plenty of this…Any time would be a good time to crack down on this

    It’s not his fault that he died of a heart attack while driving and crashed. Stop complaining. How about a little compasion.

    I was stuck in this. LPD did a poor job redirecting traffic. Officers were cooping in patrol cars at Towbin Avenue and Rout 70 intersection.
