S. Clover Bridge Vandalized With Graffiti

PHOTOS: It’s nearly a year since vandals tagged their markings around town, but it seems some are at it again. The concrete bridge on South Clover Street was seen today tagged by apparent gang-related graffiti, after blocking out other markings on the bridge.

During the Spring of 2010 and 2012, off-duty officers from the PBA Local # 71 spent hours riding around town painting over graffiti markings on buildings, fences and more. (TLS-MK).

  1. Thats not the only place that has been hit there nis a nice home by the circle on oak st that has painted over it many times and then replaced the fence only to have gang graffiti on it again its just a shame. no respect for other’s property

  2. need law requiring state and federal id, background chech and mental health screening before any paint purchase. then a tax on ownership due every year for every can of paint owned. and once owned, no transfer or private sale. all must be done at a dealer with a federal liscence. waiting periods and limited amounts of paint sold to a person would also help.

  3. Dear Police Dpt township committee members ,
Please vigorously track down the perpetrators .
Although graffiti may seem as a low priority crime it is very important to aggressively track these people down. Burglaries assaults and ,more serious crime does not happen in a vacuum. Crack down now and retake the streets and hopefully we won’t suffer worse problems later.

  4. Mara Salvatrucha (commonly abbreviated as MS, Mara, and MS-13) is a transnational criminal gang that originated in Los Angeles and has spread to other parts of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central America.[5] The majority of the gang is ethnically composed of Central Americans and active in urban and suburban areas. In the U.S., the MS-13 has an especially heavy presence in Los Angeles County and the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California; the Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas of Fairfax County, Virginia, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Prince George’s County, Maryland; Long Island, New York; the Boston, Massachusetts] area; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Houston, Texas. There is also a sizable presence of MS-13 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Members of MS distinguish themselves by tattoos covering the body and also often the face, as well as the use of their own sign language. They are notorious for their use of violence and a subcultural moral code that predominantly consists of merciless revenge and cruel retributions. This cruelty of the distinguished members of the “Maras” or “Mareros” earned them a path to be recruited by the Sinaloa Cartel battling against Los Zetas in an ongoing drug war south of the United States border.[6][7][8] Their wide-ranging activities have drawn the attention of the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, who have initiated wide-scale raids against known and suspected gang members – netting hundreds of arrests across the country.
According to the 2009 National Gang Threat Assessment, “The gang is estimated to have 30,000 to 50,000 members and associate members worldwide, 8,000 to 10,000 of whom reside in the United States.”

  5. that “tag” is scary, to anyone who understands what all of that means. This is known as a “cross out”.

Mara Salvatrucha (commonly abbreviated as MS, Mara, and MS-13) originally tagged that bridge, and then a rival gang crossed out the MS13’s gang tag, with their “18st gang” and the 3 dots.

18st & the 3 dots represents “surenos” (often shortened to “sur”)

when one gang crosses out another gangs tags, its a sign of disrespect- and the gang that got crossed out, HAS to go and provoke a fight, otherwise they are deemed cowards. EXPECT A SHOOTING/SHOOT-OUT, and or other gang-warfare.

Lakewood, along with other “affluent” towns have a real problem with Hispanic gangs. Sur13, MS13, etc are just one of a few prominent gangs in lakewood. All of this is thanks to Slum-Lords who give these vermin a place to live

(my source: i have worked on the streets, for a while. i have seen the rise of crime and hispanic gangs. this is a real problem with open boarders, and liberals inviting illegals with open arms, and with slum-lords giving these gang-members a place to live in lakewood)

  6. Cross outs happen all over town and these two groups, among others have been rivals and fighting amongst each other for years in Lakewood. These just happen to be on a moderately traveled roadway being more visible
