PHOTOS & VIDEO: Officials Announce $5,000 Reward for Information on Hit & Run Driver Who Severely Injured Chaveirim Member

PHOTOSVIDEO: Flanked by the Police Chief, Township Officials, Traffic & Safety Officer and PBA President and members, Chaveirim today announced the reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the driver who left one of their own severely injured last Saturday night.

Addressing the media, was Police Liaison Committeeman Meir Lichtenstien, Police Chief Rob Lawson, Traffic and Safety Sergeant Frank Work, Chaveirim member Naftoli Eisen and Mayor Albert Akerman.

The officials at the Conference expressed their appreciation to the Chaveirim team and OEM members for their dedication to the Township, calling them a valuable asset.

Traffic & Saftey’s Sergeant Frank Work said Police are searching for a light-colored 1993 Chevy Astro with front right end or passenger side damage.

The Chaveirim member had just finished repairing a motorist’s tire when the suspect crashed into the Chaveirim member, leaving him severely injured on the road.

The 25 year old member, married with a 2 month old child, has since underwent surgery for his extensive injuries.

  1. My heart goes out to this member and his wife, may they never suffer another tragedy.

    I am proud that my Police dept. & chief and all our elected officials are not taking this hands down.

    Kudos to Chaveirim for not leaving any stone unturned.

    I request that if the driver reads this he please turn himself in.

  2. Thank you to the police department for all your hard work. But 1 thing I cannot believe that they cannot find or have any leads to find the suspect I do not understand how if they look and search every single house every single camera in the neighborhood there is no way that they cannot come up with any leads I cannot believe that they do have a vehicle they have a couple picture in color of the vehicle they should be able to find some kind of tracking to the vehicle

  3. A big thank you for the Lakewood police department for their non stop effort into finding the hit and run driver. Hats off to you guys. Lakewood chaverim you guys are doing a superb job thanks and keep it up.
