Submitted by Chesed of Lakewood: Chesed of Lakewood would like to thank the Lakewood community for their overwhelming response to Operation C.L.E.A.N. Operation C.L.E.A.N. was a program launched to fill a pressing need in the community, providing cleaning help for families crushed under the burden of illness and difficult circumstances.

From the moment Chesed of Lakewood publicized this one-of-a-kind initiative, the calls to its 24 hour hotline came in steadily from women looking to participate. Whether it was offering their cleaning person for a few hours a week, interpreting or coordinating skills, or making a donation, the heroines of Project C.L.E.A.N. have shown what an individual can achieve when she sets her heart on doing chesed.

The women of Lakewood really came through at the busiest time of year, with a genuine sense of ahavas yisroel that enabled them to look past their own frenetic preparations and think about their sisters less fortunate, and understand their pain at being unable to focus properly on bringing Pesach into their homes, due to the medical or other challenges.

COL would like to thank each and every one of the Lakewood women who gave so much of their time (at this time of year!), their koach, their patience and their hearts to ensure that this project would become the success that it was. COL would also like to thank the pillars of the Lakewood community who understood the importance of Operation C.L.E.A.N. and rushed to extend their support for it.
