CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Burglary Suspect Arrested at Gunpoint; SWAT Executes Search Warrant

CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Police on Friday arrested a burglary suspect at gunpoint, and then brought in the SWAT team to execute a search warrant on the home.

At about 12 PM on Friday, a woman phoned LCSW after she spotted a man attempting to break into her home. Moments later, the LCSW responding member spotted the suspect running into a home on Congress Street – off of Route 88.

After passing along the information to police, a K9 unit was called in and the home was surrounded by police.

But police tell TLS the home was a known address to police for other illegal activity – and Lakewood’s SRT (Special Response Team) was called in.

As police kept watch on the home, the suspect apparently noticed the police activity and attempted to make a run for it from a rear door.

That’s when police drew their weapons and ordered the suspect on the ground (see video). The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

Moment’s later, the full SRT members pulled up and waited as the judge signed the Search Warrant to allow for their entry.

About two hours later, the Warrant was executed – but the house turned out empty.

  1. great video.. there is a issue with residents calling cops with every little issue, then officers not taking them serious and not responding quick enough so there are residents that first call lcsw and who then make a judgment if the incident is serious enough to call the police

  2. fixed sights? carry handles? stock iron sights? = time to upgrade the m4’s/ar15’s

try: magpul pmags(with windows), magpul angled fore grips, picatinny quad-rails, MBUS(magpul back up sights), single point slings, ranger plates for the pmags, etc

  3. Why doesn’t the community donate bullet proof vests to the lcsw organization true there not police but they do respond to emergency calls and have marked and unmarked patrols that alone is a hazard that should be addressed and supported by the community in terms of donated bullet proof vest, don’t wait for another boroh park safety patrol incident to act

  4. there is no such thing as a bullet PROOF vest. there are different levels of bullet RESISTANT vests. and at $300-$500 each, i guess more tax payer funds would have to be allocated – AGAIN for this private org.

  5. My goodness people!!! You call lcsw more then you call the police and you
Cry about donating body armor to keep them safe responding to your issues? Since when did money come before a life?

  6. It seems half the major arrests in this town half to do first with lcsw, if you ask me they are doing a great job and should be supported as such

  7. I spoke to someone that was involved with the one that called … Just to clarify a few points he DID call PD first and after he phoned LCSW, apparently PD was tied on traffic stops and parking problems and suspicious packages, so he phones LCSW and by the time PD showed up, LCSW had a member out in the area with a visual already, of course call PD, but LCSW did a great job and its amazing to see PD working hand in hand with them. Kudos!!
