Man Airlifted After Being Severely Burned From Boat Engine Explosion

A man was severely burned this afternoon after a boat engine exploded in his face, officials say. The man was reportedly trying to start an engine of a boat in a warehouse near his home, when it exploded.

The man suffered burns on his face and arms, police say.

Hatzolah responded to the scene and requested a Medevac due to the severity of his burns. He was flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center.

  1. Helicopters dont’t usually land in people’s driveways. He was taken by ambulance to a landing zone where they load him into the helicopter
