PHOTOS: Yesterday evening, the last of five new family boats were lowered into Lake Carasaljo. In addition to the paddle option, the large family boat is motorized.
The boat rental fleet, run by Traveling Tykes, features ten large motorized-paddle boats, 6 swans and about 40 standard paddle boats.
rolled out their boats for the first time this season.
The boat rentals are available Sunday-Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until dark, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until about 1 1/2 hours before Shabbos.
Access to the boat rentals are from North Lake Drive and 2nd Street, at the Amphitheatre.
Can someone post a phone number for them? Thanks
check out the number on the big yellow signs on the boats – 732-942-1123
It is so nice to see the lake filled with these boats and families having fun on a nice day.
What about Saturdays hours? Saturday is my only day off to do special things with my kids.
anyone know the prices:
Saturday is shabbos…
what #6 is TRYING to say is that- if the boat owners are orthodox Jews, then they don’t work on Saturday (shabbos) Thus the boats are not available for rent then.
Sorry to tell you all but the State REQUIRES all power boat operators to have a state sanctioned safety course certificate. Whoever operates the boats better have the certificate or you get a ticket.
What kind of power is the boat using? Gas engines pollute the lake and were not allowed? Just asking.
There is an exemption for less than 10 hp
the boats r battery powered ..no pollution
This is a great addition to the area. Something to enjoy with the family.
Actually they are paddle boats which are powerd by our feet. GO GREEN
