BREAKING NEWS: [CAUGHT ON VIDEO] Lakewood Police moments ago arrested a man wanted in connection with this morning’s homicide in a Country Place after police spotted the stolen car, as reported on our News Alerts.
The car, which was allegedly stolen – along with a dog – from the victim’s home following the murder, was spotted by Detective J. Pederson in the Deerwood Park in Howell – just north of the Lakewood border.
After confirming it was indeed the victim’s car, Officers – including personnel from the Detective’s Bureau – staged at the park awaiting for the suspect to show up to his car.
Moments later, the man was spotted walking towards his car.
Multiple officers swarmed the area and ordred the suspect to the ground at gunpoint. He was led away in cuffs. [TLS-28/TLS-CCP/TLS-50]

Instead of just writing a report and collecting eveidence (as done by soo many other calls that LPD handles) here they actually followed up on it and (so it seems) shut down the case in one day!!!! Amazing job LPD!!! RIP Victim and We Will never forget 9/11 and Officer Chris Matloz

hmmm looks like this might be the victims son….as a dog person….the dog looked like she wanted to go with him…thus, leading me to believe she knows him!!

Sorry, but Howell PD is gauged by how nasty an officer can be on a traffic stop, by how they shut down soup kitchens. Solve and stop crime?That’s not high on the “things to do” lost of Howell officers. And fyi, I never received a ticket fromell a Howell officer- I don’t drive Rt 9 thru Howell.
