PHOTO: A New Jersey State Police Trooper was involved in a crash on the Garden State Parkway this afternoon. At about 12:45 PM, the Trooper was driving Southbound on the Parkway in an attempt to locate a Motor Vehicle Accident, State Police Sergeant Brian Polite tells TLS.
Unbeknown to the Trooper, there was another crash which had occurred at mile marker 110.4, where upon a Suburban came to a complete stop in the roadway. The Trooper attempted to avoid the Suburban, but was unable to stop, Polite said.
The driver of the Suburban was transported to Riverview Medical Center where he was treated and released, and the Trooper was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center where he was treated and later released, Polite said.
The accident caused heavy rubber-necking delays.
Nobody was charged in the accident. [TLS]

Because anytime you hit someone in the back they give you a ticket. I guess cops have different rules.
