Lakewood Man Among Arrested in Ocean County Narcotics Investigation

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced today the culmination of two investigations by the Northern and Southern Enforcement Units into drug activity in the Ocean County area. 

On June 26, 2013 Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Southern Enforcement Unit conducted a short term narcotics investigation that resulted in the arrest of two Ocean County men. During the course of the investigation Detectives from the Special Operations Group along with members of the Ocean Township Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, which was occupied by a driver identified as Lorenzo Quintero-Sanchez, 27, of Toms River and the front seat passenger identified as Jose Quintero-Dejesus, 29, of Lakewood.  The motor vehicle stop took place in the area of Chapel Street in Waretown (Ocean Township) NJ.

As police were approaching the black jeep, the occupants attempted to secrete a quantity of cocaine under the Jeep. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 42 grams of cocaine and a digital scale. Also seized was approximately $780 dollars in U.S. currency. The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee was also seized pending forfeiture proceedings.

The seized cocaine has a street value of approximately $4000 dollars.  

The following individuals were arrested and charged:  Lorenzo Quintero-Sanchez age 27 of 533 Martin Road, Toms River NJ. Mr. Quintero-Sanchez was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute over one half ounce, Hindering his own Apprehension by providing false information to law enforcement, and Tampering with evidence.

The Honorable Superior Court Judge Francis R. Hodgson Jr. JSC set a bail on Mr. Quintero-Sanchez at $100,000 cash.  Jose Quintero-Dejesus age 29 of 20 Clover Street, Lakewood NJ. Mr. Quintero-Dejesus was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute over one half ounce, and Tampering with evidence. 

The Honorable Superior Court Judge Francis R. Hodgson Jr. JSC set bail on Mr. Quintero-Dejesus at $100,000 cash.  In addition to the bails set by the Honorable Judge Francis R. Hodgson Jr., The United States Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed I.C.E. detainers on both Mr. Lorenzo Quintero-Sanchez and Mr. Jose Quintero-Dejesus.

On June 26, 2013 Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group, Northern Enforcement Unit along with members of the Brick Township Police Department conducted a short term narcotics related investigation that resulted in the arrest of a Monmouth County man.

During the course of the investigation Detectives from the Special Operations Group along with members of the Brick Township Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on a gray 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV, which was occupied by Jerel E. Williams, 30, of 20 Sunnyfield Terrace, Neptune, NJ. The motor vehicle stop took place in the area of 270 Chambersbridge Road, Brick, NJ. Mr. Williams was found to be in possession of approximately 1150 individual dosage units of heroin.  The 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer was also seized pending forfeiture proceedings.

The seized heroin has an approximate street value of $4500 The following individual was arrested and charged: Jerel E. Williams age 30 of 20 Sunnyfield Terrace, Neptune, NJ. Mr. Williams was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with intent to distribute over one half ounce.

The Honorable Superior Court Judge James Blaney JSC set a bail on Mr. Williams at $125,000 cash. [TLS]
