There may be light at the end of the tunnel for the hundreds of families in the Westgate community after all. JCP&L yesterday has completed the supplemental source configuration for the Westgate development which should greatly reduce the outages they have been encountering, Askonim tell TLS.
Since moving into the neighborhood, the approximately 750 families of the Westgate community have suffered a great deal from power outages – being from the first to lose power at the start of an even partially-severe storm.
Just over the past week, the Westgate community lost electric twice – while temperatures neared 100 degrees.
The source of the problem was reportedly due to the fact that the community was being powered via secondary lines which stretched several miles to the Faraday substation. The substation ha smultiple circuits which powers thousands of homes in the area.
With the exstenive help of Askonim and officials, including Committeeman Meir Lichtenstien and members of the LUAC, the Electric Company over the past few months worked on reconfiguring the power source to primary wires, and to a more reliable circuit. The project was finally completed last night. [TLS]

It Means The Whole Area
Why is it always about ME?! I also lost power multiple times but I know Westgate has had it bad. Why can’t people just be happy for them?
the generators can only produce that much power so my question off whom are they mooching these KWH (just wondering if im gonna sit in the dark now)
Switching Westgate to another power source is not only good for them but it is also good for those people who are on the power source that Westgate came off of. Overall, good for everyone.

BTW westgate lost power this week on shabos again but thanks to the new system it kick in 45 seconds later we all have a cool shabos
