River Avenue Shut for Downed Pole, Wires; Power Outages

PHOTO: River Avenue (Route 9) is shut between Central Avenue and Pine Street for a  downed pole and wires. Traffic is heavy in the area as motorists are being detoured.

Power outages are also being reported in the area.

  1. to # 4 its only in the mid 70’s that not so hot. I turned off a/c and opened windows and there is a nice breeze.
    also if you really can’t deal go out no one said that you have to stay in your apt. all day.

  2. Working with electricity is not an easy job..its dangerous and they take every precaution when doing it. It could be 2 hrs it could be as long as 12 hrs but they will try to reroute power until they can get the repair and replacement done. It sucks but think you are just in a dark house..they are working with 40k volts or more of electricity
