VIDEO: LPD Officer Frank “Brian” Pugliese Retires After 25 Years of Service

VIDEO: Lakewood Police Officer Frank “Brian” Pugliese said goodbye to the LPD today after completing 25 years of service in the Department.

About 100 guests gathered at the Municipal Auditorium this afternoon to celebrate the retirement.

During the emotional ceremony, Pugliese wore the badge of his late father, who also served as a Lakewood Police Officer. Pugliese says he kept the treasured badge on his desk each day to serve as an inspiration.

Police Chief Rob Lawson also addressed the ceremony, which included a presentation from the Lakewood PBA and State Delegate Steve Kalusak.

Pugliese, who served in the U.S. and retired as an E4, served as the department’s Firearms Instructor for many years.

Following the indoor ceremony, Pugliese was escorted to the Lakewood border by fellow colleagues. [TLS]
