Woman Arrested after Assaulting CVS Pharmacy Employee

PHOTO: The quick actions of police resulted in the apprehension and arrest of a suspect who assaulted and robbed a CVS Pharmacy clerk today, police confirm to TLS.

Detective Sergeant Greg Staffordsmith says a Brick woman entered the New Hampshire Avenue store at about 3:30 p.m with the intent to steal soap.

“Prior to exiting the store, she was confronted by an employee and asked to simply leave,” says Staffordsmith.

“A short time later, Ms Whitfield returned to get a bag that she left behind. When an employee refused to give it to her, she assaulted the employee by punching her in the face before fleeing the store,” Staffordsmith says.

She was apprehended however moments later by Police Officer Jeremy Felder, who observed her in the area.

The woman was charged with Shoplifting and Simple Assault. She was released on her own recognizance.

Happened to be in the store right after the incident took place.
Why were 3 undercover cops there?

Oh and my goodness – she did this for some soap??

It’s not about the item. You will never understand a “Street Mentality ” . Not trying to justify . . .

  • Yid says:

@robbienachman – You are right. There is a huge segment of the US population that has a mentality that “it belongs to me – if I want it I can take it.”

It used to be in America that if you wanted something, you worked for it. Today, if you want something, you take it by force. You can either walk into the store and just take it, or you can demand from your Democrat politicians to take it by force from others in the form of taxes (and under threat of jail for those not paying their “fair share” of taxes to support the poor who refuse to work.)

And this, my friends is nobody’s fault but our own, as a society. (I refer to American society.) We have allowed this to happen by constantly electing Democrats who are today socialists, and by educating our children with the mentality of not working, but rather “being supported by others”, if you know what I mean.
