Police, LCSW Receive 2nd Report of Attempted Luring in 24 Hours

Police and LCSW were called this afternoon after a driver reportedly attempted to lure a young child to his vehicle by offering the child candy.

The suspect, LCSW says, described as a Hispanic male wearing a blue cap and driving a green Pontiac, attempted to lure a 7 year old girl in the area of Ponderosa Drive shortly before 5 p.m.

The incident is the second such incident in under 24 hours. In both incidents candy was reportedly offered to the children.

Anyone with information is asked to phone LCSW and Police. [TLS-CCP/24-A/B]

  1. to #3 are you for real? joking like that, what would you be saying if this were your kid? where is your common sense or at least some common decency?

  2. This is no longer the little safe quiet town as many of us remember. The children cannot be walking outside alone as they are very vulnerable. Just a few weeks ago, I submitted my article to the Lakewood Voice about an incident that happened to one of my family members on the south side of the lake.

The child was waiting for the camp bus, which was late, on a bus stop not far from her house. Suddenly a white van, as was witnessed by a passerby, a Chevy suburban, either a ’98 or 97 with two black male drivers, one was fat, and one was normal size, drove crazy, jumped the curb, and started screaming at her, ‘get into the car, get into the car” . She managed to narrowly escape by thinking quickly and diving through the bushes into a nearby neighbor’s yard.

Although the police were called, as well as LCSW, there was no further action taken on this, to look for them.

The two maniacs are still on the loose, and now we are hearing about more incidents of crazy drivers luring children by offering candy.

Parents you must always be on guard to know where your children are if they are out of the house in the street. Any age is vulnerable. Be aware and be warned. I had so much anguish from this, as well as the whole family. This is a new era of crazy psychopaths roaming the streets looking to harm. Take your own action now by being super vigilant.
