Retired Lakewood Police Chief Passes Away

Retired Lakewood Police Chief Michael Prisco has passed away today, TLS has learned. Prisco was found dead in his Lakewood home during a well-being check by police. He was 87.

The retired Chief served on the LPD for over 30 years, and served as the Police Chief during the late 80s and early 90s until his retirement. Chief Lynch served as Chief after his retirement.

Lakewood Police Captain Gregory Meyer is one of the few current officials in the department who worked under Prisco.

“The entire police department mourns his passing,” says Captain Meyer. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.”
