PHOTO: Ocean County Officials Remember 9/11

PHOTO: County officials, emergency responders and volunteers gathered at the Ocean County Government Complex in Downtown Toms River today to mark the 12th anniversary of the attack on the United States.

At the solemn gathering, Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato, Freeholder Joseph H. Vicari and Freeholder Director John P. Kelly, who also serves as Director of Law and Public Safety, read the names of the county’s soldiers killed during the War on Terror.

The ceremony ended with the laying of wreaths on both the 9-11 Memorial and Monument to Fallen Heroes, which honors the 13 County soldiers killed fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. [TLS]
