A Nor’easter could be taking shape for late Tuesday into Thanksgiving day. Gusty northeast winds and rain could hamper one of the busiest travel days of the year (Wednesday). Some snow is also possible in the higher elevations of eastern PA and northern NJ.
•A nor’easter is possible from late Tuesday November 26th through Thanksgiving day, November 28th. Based on current model guidance, the most vulnerable time for the mid-Atlantic region will be from the early morning hours on Wednesday into the early hours of Thanksgiving morning.
•As with all nor’easters, strong easterly winds and periods of heavy rain can be expected. With recent dry conditions, the probability of large stream and main stem river flooding is low. However, roadway and poor drainage flooding is possible depending on how much rain actually falls.
•Some snow is possible with this storm, especially in the higher elevations of eastern Pennsylvania and northwestern New Jersey.
Today, high temperatures will only reach the mid 20s in the north and mid 30s in the south. Strong winds in the 25 to 35 mph range will make conditions feel even colder. The combination of strong winds and very dry air (low dewpoint temperatures) elevates the fire weather threat on Sunday. [TLS]

Did the Judge establish proper regulations to make sure the Squat City tents and lumber are tied down well – so they don’t fly all over the town and cause more damage to the honest tax-paying citizen’s properties??

First. Over the past year the squatters have illegally removed many of the trees which likely served as protective buffers against the flying materials & debris coming out of squat city.
Second. You may feel easy about keeping your fingers crossed and hope we get lucky again. However, for the residents that actually live in that part of town, they need more than your wishful thinking.
In fact, whenever there are strong winds, more often than not, garbage and debris from squat city lands all over Cedarbridge Avenue causing traffic headaches for the townsfolk.
And let’s not even start with mentioning the wild chickens that constantly run out from squat city onto the roadway. They have caused numerous car accidents already (i.e. property damage, bodily injury, tax on government resources, etc..) Their tent owners quite obviously feel no responsibility to tax-paying motorists and thus fail to keep them caged or leashed.
The list goes on and on, but enough said for now..
To Buono: I am very familiar with the activities at tent city and also live close by. I know for a fact that there have been no trees removed in the past year. I past the camp several times a day and I have never seen flying debris coming out of tent city.They have township garbage cans like everyone else amd the garbage is picked of weekly by publlic works. I also have never seen the chickens in the roadway or every seen or heard of accidents caused by chickens crossing the road. Finally , putting chickens on leashes ? I dont think so.

I drive down the road passing in front of the squatter camp at least twice daily. So don’t you start telling me or anyone else that their garbage doesn’t end up on the roadway when it gets very windy. It sure does! And it’s a mess!!
Those squatters leave those garbage cans practically on the roadway and the wind blows them all over the place – not to talk about the regular debris flying out of that campsite. Most regular folk either bring their cans in or tie them to their houses or decks when storms like these show up. Or they have larger heavy metal bins that aren’t as susceptible to windstorms. The campers there have always lacked those fundamental courtesies. After all, it’s not like stealing or damaging someone else’s property is on their priority list..
Oh, and those chickens you were less than truthful about.. Buono was 100% right. The animals do suddenly dart out and run on to the road causing motor vehicles to come to screeching halts and creating traffic accidents. I’ve seen it myself. Before the cops can arrive on the scene the squatters quickly collect their chickens and cage them – so when the police inquire about the chickens – they play dumb and lie that their chickens were never in the roadway.
Thankfully, we’ve gotten lucky so far. But, I pray to the Lord no one ever gets killed due to squat city’s disregard for the rest of mankind.
To Jerome : Apparently you live in a different neighbor that I do because from some reason you are seeing different things than I am seeing.
I have lived in Lakewood for over 20 years and I have never seen anyone tie down their garbage cans on a windy day. In my neighborhood and many other neighborhoods the cans are not practically on the road, they are actually on the road. I have seen garbage cans blow over and garbage spill onto the roadway not just around tent city but all over Lakewood That is what happens on windy days
People catching chickens and putting them in cages before the cops arrive? Thats as funny as putting chickens on leashes. There are no chicken cages at tent city.,The chickens roam free whether the cops are there are not.
Finally, cops do not do anything about the chickens because there is no law against not having your chicken on a leash
I agree with Buono & Jerome that the debris lands in the street. The problem is that since there are no chochomim around there won’t be any stopping this. There only anonymous people that live there. Lesson about life anonymous people see things the wrong way
