PHOTOS: About an hour after a hit and run driver fled a scene of a crash which left the other driver injured last night, police located the suspect’s vehicle.
About 8:30 PM last night, a driver was involved in an MVA at the intersection of Route 88 and Clover Street, and then fled the scene, despite the other driver injured, and with heavy damage to his vehicle.
A Frum woman who witnessed the accident immediately got the plate of the fleeing vehicle, and provided the information to police, an official said.
The driver still on scene was hospitalized.
About an hour later, Officers Jeffrey Emmons and Jeremy Felder located the vehicle hidden behind another vehicle parked in an Ocean Avenue driveway, but the driver was still at large. The vehicle was towed for the investigation.
In addition, Police responded to two overturns last night as well.
One occurred at the intersection of Towbin Avenue and Oak Street, and the other on Prospect Street and Cross Street.

1) Nice work, LPD
2) Two overturns in a single night? Where are we rushing that it is worth putting lives in danger to get there 15 seconds earlier?
Exactly a week ago there was an accident right there and the driver also fled. What’s up with that?
We are sorry but the driver has just crossed the border with Mexico. He should be back in two weeks under a different name.
Same thing happened to my parked car. They found the abandoned hit-and-run car with Pennsylvania plates and no insurance. Lakewood police did not follow up and have PA police investigate at the PA address the car was registered. Cost me a $500 deductible.
