VIDEO: Two dozen local families in need will have a full Thanksgiving meal this year, thanks to the local PBA members.
Despite the inclement weather, seven police officers packed up their new PBA bus with turkey, gravy, bread, corn, peanut butter and jelly for the kids and other food items for the Holiday, and hit the road – with PBA President Gary Przewoznik at the wheel.
About 14 students from the Lakewood High School’s Interact Club volunteered to assist the off-duty officers with their gracious distribution efforts, and hopped on to the bus.
The volunteers spent several hours Wednesday evening making their way from home to home, ensuring some of the less-fortunate local families got to enjoy their Thanksgiving dinner this year.
The PBA officers volunteering their time, were PBA President Gary Przewoznik, State Delegate Steve Kelusak, Sean Ward, Lenny Nieves Jr., and School Resource Officers Pete La’Rosa, Alex Guzman and Jerome Cohen. [TLS]
