location?
For those that complain bout the budget or new paid members… Try for once to appreciate the members especially the volunteers who got up at 2am and only came home close to 7am… And then continue on with their day with no sleep and drained from the incident!! Let’s thank them for the hard work they do!!!
According to GoogleMaps there is no such place as Adalia Road in Lakewood
They probably mean Idalia Avenue, in Chestnut.
To south of thd lake …. Adalia is off of chestnut st
#3, its probably not on the map because there are so many new streets in this town. It is located off Chestnut Street.
it is Idalia Avenue
it is in the Chestnut section of Lakewood
It’s Idalia, second left off of Chestnut coming from Rt 9.
thank you to all that responded.and for what its worth ,idalia street is not new, built some 30-40 years back. some confusion on the spelling it seems
I’m glad those paid guys weren’t just shutting off someones oven or answering a CO call when this went out, since that’s all that they do!
Yeah! Now if only they’d figure out how to do it for free like the neighboring towns.
Just like Jackson and Howel
Jackson and Howell Fire department do it for free??? How about Jackson has 10-15 paid firefighters and Howell has over 8 on day shift duty. Other towns are nearing the point that paid day and night personnel are going to be a reality because of the dwindling volunteerism. Growth is wonderful thing until you have to pay to properly protect it. the time is here and now to pay up.
Might wanna check their salaries compared to Lakewoods though…
To those who are complaining about paying fire fighters, why don’t you volunteer do the job.
