  1. WHAT A WELL DESERVED APPOINTMENT FOR Jason Shanik he works hard and is great at what he does.Lakewood is lucky to have such a dedicated individual.

  2. When did the Lakewood Volunteer Squad change their shirts…..they use to always be a lighter blue color. It looked so much better than the dark ones they are wearing now.

  3. Come someone please explain in some depth, what is the difference between Hatzolah Lakewood and Lakewood First Aid? Why does one need both? Isn’t it a bit too much? Another EMS service seemingly running on the toes of Hatzolah, no?

  4. Lakewood First aid and Emergency Squad was the first ambulance company in Lakewood incorporated in 1939. The EMS Dept began in 1979. LFAS an EMS are dispatched through the Lakewood Police 911 dispatch system.

Hatzolah is a PRIVATE First Aid Squad not 911 dispatched.

The Lakewood FAS is NOT and I repeat NOT stepping on Hatzolah’s toes maybe vice versa.

  5. Hatzolah services the jewish community primarily but will come to anybodys aid if called Lakewood First Aid is the oldest and originall ambulance company for Lakewood serving proudly since 1930 they run off the 911 system and are the primary back up system for Lakewood Township.
