  1. I just feel down a flight of stairs because of the rain and ice. On my way home from shachris I skid out multiple times on a drive that usually takes about a min and it took me literally 10 min because not to skid I had to drive 5mph. I witnessed 4 accidents within the length of a football field.

  2. did all the kids make it to school safely on those buses? didn’t realize or never would have sent them. I’m a nervous wreck and can’t reach the school!

  3. Work at shopright the parking lot is dangerous please be careful when coming here fell Down my step lost control of my truck thank god I was driving 2 miles and hour

  4. if you are not comfortable driving in bad weather(snow, black ice) stay off the roads. i just watched a young girl’s car slide on road and because she was scared she got out of her car and left it in the middle of the road causing a major traffic problem for over 40 minutes.

  5. #7 you are correct that this just happened, but i was on the Parkway at 7am and they were salting already. Why cant DPW get their act together and plan for these events appropriately?

I truly appreciate what DPW does, but the whole world cant stop becuse of a short lived storm.

  6. to 18 – because the County takes care of county roads, the state takes care of state roads and the township takes care of township roads. Central is a county road. DPW was out early salting. Can’t be on every street at the same time. This weather was not forecast for our area, it was predicted north of us.

  7. Where was the DPW on this storm? they spent millions on a high teck early warning weather system. Yet they did not have the foresight to salt in advance .This is unacceptable.

  8. Lots of buses did not arrive yet. The school told me that most buses that did not arrive yet pulled over and the drivers refused to continue.
I think that the drivers are being very responsible. THANK YOU BUS DRIVERS!!!

  9. The Township does a good job telling is what type of equipment they purchase justifying it for extreme conditions. Yet when those conditions arise they are incompetent. Why didn’t they salt the roads earlier? They have thir own weather sytem at the DPW.

  10. Seems strange. The DPW has gotten much better over the past two years. Wasn’t this weather predicted?? Why wasn’t salt put out in advance instead of in reaction, and after all these accidents….?

  11. The icy conditions that we faced this morning was one I won’t forget. I have an older model car & my tires are mamish bald and one is a spare as I had a puncture last night (supposed to get them all replaced but keep pushing it off). I slid sideways down almost a full block! B’chasdei hashem there were no cars or pedestrians in my way or there may well have been a sad ending. I parked my car & walked home! Hoiduu Lashem Ki Toiv! The one question. Why weren’t the streets salted? My landlord keeps kvetching about property taxes escalating, but there seems to be no justification for it. Ah Gutten Shabbos Yidden.

  12. Thank you all I am a bus driver and it was horrible. Got to the schools safely. And will be starting mid day runs shortly hopefully roads are better.

  13. Please be careful when driving im 32 weeks pregnant and got scared bcuz i lost control of my truck even though i was driving at low speed , could of hit a car but im thankful to god that no car weren’t near me and the sidewalk helped me stop the truck because otherwise it would of turn into an accident

  14. To all the negative people.
This storm was unexpected so if you think the DPW didn’t do a good job why wasn’t there a delayed school opening or for that matter schools cancelled.

  15. Didn’t the DPW spend mucho $$$$$ (our $$$) for a high tech early warning system? So what has it been doing for us? We are entitled to ask where our $$$ goes…..
