(VIDEO – Time-Lapsed) : Ocean County road crews were in Lakewood today filling the potholes on Lakewood’s County roads.
As earlier reported, during the Winter months, potholes are filled with ‘cold patches’ – a temporary patch.
The video shows the pothole filled with tar, and then smoothened out – by the truck driving over it.
As you can imagine, the fill doesn’t usually last too long.

Please seal it!!!
Black top is worthless & will crumb apart if it’s not selled…
lakewood township was doing some hot patches on my street today. thank you
route 9 south between prospect and chestnut is nuuuutttttsssss!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can’t drive there. they will have to repave the whole highway!
they actually lasted a few hours!
To # 1: Do you mean “spelled”?
Cant they just fill it with gravel for now ? Its not perfect but it will, at least, make the roads passable.
No he meant sealed.
There is a VERY dangerous pothole on Williams and James Street. I could not believe how large and deep it was. BE CAREFUL!!!!
if you drive with due caution AND pay attention to where your going to you can avoid lots of these pot holes. SLOW down people and give he people who are working on the roads a fair chance.
This video is of a county truck.
If you would read what it says, you will see that it says COUNTY in the article.
Now I can’t text when I drive because I have to keep my eyes on the road looking for potholes
#5 LOL!!!
