Fire Marshals: Delta Blaze Ruled Accidental

k1The blaze which destroyed the Delta Food Mart at the Singin gas station early yesterday morning, has been ruled accidental, the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office tells TLS.

“The only information we have right now is that it was accidental – nothing suspicious,” the official said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. [TLS]

  1. The fire marshall said that they narrowed the cause of the fire down to a 20 x 30 section in the roof. Arson doesnt usually happen in the roof unless those guys were real smart o course….
I immediately ruled out arson as there is no reason for someone to burn down such a sucessful store. Even with a good insurance policy, the hasssle is not worth it.

  2. R’ Yossi,

  3. To annon.
Your assumption is that arson can only be done by the proprieter of a buiness. And therefore in this case it wasnt worth burning down a succesful place. What about the posibbility of a competitor. Ex worker or just someone who dislikes the owner. Could be a thousand reasons.

  4. “or just someone who dislikes the owner.”

Why would someone dislike the owner? He is a noted Askan, who has given much of his time for Lakewood Cheder.
