Petirah of 6 Year Old Refoel Elisha Meir Choen A”H

candleRefoel Elisha Meir Choen, the 6 year old boy brought to New York from Texas for treatment of the Machlah R”L, was Niftar this morning, News Breakers tells TLS.

Refoel Elisha Meir’s A”H illness prompted Tfillos from thousands around the globe, but he was unfortunately Niftar today at Columbia Hospital.

A White House petition by over 100,000 people last year was signed in hopes of getting the boy a last-resort therapy pulled by the FDA in 2012, but the petition unfortunately fell on deaf ears.

The Levaya will be taking place in Eretz Yisroel. Further details will be published when available.

  1. BDE, I am pained deeply by this terrible news. My deepest sympathies to the Cohen family and all klal yisroel who have felt this terrible loss.

    Refoel Elisha Meir A’H,
You have inspired an entire nation. You have brought achdus to all. What an amazement when a petition went out and in days over 100,000 people had signed it.
So young you were yet more powerful than people 10 times your age.
May we see the Geula this Pesach

  2. Although I signed the petition and davened on Rafael’s behalf, nobody knows if the experimental therapy would’ve helped or hindered.

While i cry for the family, IMHO we should not put blame on anyone or any therapy.

We do not know the way of G-d.

The family did everything in its power for the health and well-being of Raphael.
The family is an inspiration to every person going through tough times. Never give up.
    They tried and tried.

    May G-d console the family.

    I certainly cannot.

so sad & in the middle of yom tov…..
was hoping we could return to Hashem with teshuva & prevent this tragedy from occuring.

Refoel Elisha you really inspired klal yisroel. & now you can still inspire us to do teshuva, if we accept this wake-up message for teshuva from Hashem from this tragedy occuring

May your neshama have an aliyah, klal yisroel will miss you dearly & mourn your loss

  4. Oish. This child, clearly, has a very heilegeh neshama. Tens of 1000s of tefilos were offered on his behalf. They surely didnt goto waste. May Hshem be menachem them. Plz post shiva info. Thanx.

  5. BORUCH DAYAN HA-EMES.
    This neshomo:
    A. Hasn’t sinned.
    B. Suffered yissurim unimaginable.
    C. Was the catalyst that thru t’fila and petition, showed HKB”H His children’s Achdus.
Through these 3 items, the power that Refoel Elisha has to advocate for us in Shomayim is beyond our limited understanding.
Let us pray for his success.
    A GUTTEN MOED
