PHOTOS: Officials Meet to Discuss New 911 Call Handling System Upgrades

911 meetPHOTOS: Ocean County Sheriff Michael Mastronardy was among about a dozen local officials on hand this week as a new 911 call handling system for Lakewood was discussed.

As first reported last month, the Township is set to upgrade its 911 Call Handling System in order to tighten the gap between County and local call transferring.

Committeeman Meir Lichtenstein, who serves as the liaison to Emergency Services in the Township, said “This system will allow for more seamless information flow between the 911 and local dispatch. It will provide for  more accurate and expedient dispatch.”

Attending the meeting at the Municipal building, were heads of Lakewood’s emergency departments, and OEM and Township officials. [TLS]
