PHOTOS: A driver was killed in a high speed crash on County Line Road today, police confirm to TLS. The single-vehicle crash reportedly occurred about 4:30 AM at the intersection of County Line Road and Fernwood.
The driver, allegedly under the influence, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree. The impact of the crash left the car split into several pieces strewn across the yard of a nearby residential home. The vehicle was a Ford Mustang, a source said.
The driver, 26, was critically injured in the crash, and died at the hospital about two hours later, sources tell TLS.
Officials say they are awaiting tests to determine if he was under the influence at the time of the crash.
The road was shut for several hours for the investigation.

He was 26 not 19!
One less drunk driver on the road.
Prayers for family & friends… So sad
Its spelled: Fernwood.
prayers for his family. Its sad that he got behind the wheel.
At least he didn’t kill someone innocent….
Need a new bumper sticker
Pray for me I drive in lakewood on Shabbos
Seems every week There’s a terrible accident over the weekend
Have you noticed that almost every Saturday night TLS has a story about a major accident that happened over the Sabbath when those **** jews who endanger every ones life with their driving are not even on the roads.
it happened around 2 am
so sad for his family!
Highly offensive thing to write. If you have an issue with tls than get off of it and get out of our town
Hey wondering
Whats your point??
Someone needs to wake up here. Lakewood driving ( 24/7 ) needs to get it together . We are all G-d’s children and were made in his image . Condolences to his family and anyone else affected by this horrible incident . To the LPD & EMT’s that have to answer the call
I personally know him and have worked with him. He is not the person to drink and drive.
He was a great guy and such a nice kid. He will be missed tremendously.
Thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. He was an only child and I can only imagine what his parents are going through right now. Rest in peace Tommy.
Sad that one bad choice leads to a death. Sleep in your car, call a taxi, pass out in the gutter!!! Just don’t drink and drive!
what a terrible tragedy – condolences to the family – may you find solace in your hearts
My condolences to the family. And to Jo Shmoe and ANON who don’t get Wondering….
Really??? Ever hear of sarcasm? Do we really need to explain it?
I guess so.
The point he is making is DON’T ALWAYS BLAME THE ORTHODOX FOLK FOR LOUSY DRIVING.
There are others out there as well whose driving skills are questionable…
My condolences go out to the family and friends of the person who died. To read some of these insensitive comments makes me sick. This is a human being who died!! Regardless of his situation on how he died you all should have some (moderated) respect.
@ #2 while I agree 100% about not drinking and driving, your remark was uncalled for and not a nice thing to say.
First off, sorry for the lose my heart goes ou to the familiy.
Secondly if you look back most really bad car accidents happen on the weekend when the jews are not driving and lakewoods roads are a goast town
So while its true that lakewood drivers are not the best in the world there FAR from the problam
So next time you see that anti semetic bumper sticker that reads “pray for me I drive in lakewood” pull along side the car and ask if he knows the score!
Have a wonderfull sunday!
Somehow I don’t sense any sarcasm in that comment. Sounded like he really has a point.
When was the last time you saw a frum jew driving drunk. When was the last time you arrested a frum jew for breaking and entering.when was the last time a frum jew robbed a gas station or bank.when was the last time a frum jew had a knife fight or shot a cop.yet still frum jews are blamed for ever thing bad here.
Prayers to his Family and Friends very heartbreaking story to read
to Jo Schmo: get out of “our” town? Since when is it anybody’s town except for all residents?!
Very sad. I don’t even know how some of you could write these comments. First it has nothing to do with religion or driving skills. A kid lost his life. A mother lost a son. A father lost a son. A grandparent list a grandchild.
Yes he was drunk, yes he shouldn’t be driving. But he did not deserve to die and to hear ignorant comments from some people just goes to show how educated that person is. That’s sad.
How cruel can you people be?! Shame on you for being so heartless! You are speaking like this about a human being! I personally know him, he was my nephew and HE WAS NOT DRUNK! Blood work proved he was not drunk or high! He is someone’s child, someone’s cousin, someone’s friend and you are treating him like he was nothing! Think before you speak! How would you feel if someone wrote these comments about your child? R.I.P. Tommy……you are loved and missed and will always be remembered as the funniest kid!
I can’t believe this. Someone loses his life, and you are debating if he was or was not drinking?
HEY! HE LOST HIS LIFE!
There are family members who lost a loved one.
Think!
You people are ridiculous this is my best friend! No one deserve to die. He was the nicest guy you would meet and the great friend. He will be very missed and sorry for the loss to the family and friends that has lost this special guy. Tom you will be missed and loved always.
Did he deserve to die? Maybe, maybe not. We don’t know. That is not the point. The point is that, nonetheless it was a horrible tragedy, EVEN IF, SOMEHOW HE DID DESERVE TO DIE. What a horrible death. How horrible for those that loved him, something that some commenters didn’t think about. The most important point is that, if he was indeed drunk and went behind the wheel, which he shouldn’t have, although he coul have hurt others, he didn’t. Sorry I can’t say that for everyone making comments here.
THINK BEFORE YOU COMMENT!
Is it true he was coming from Maggie’s
In the next few weeks, it will be the 3rd anniversary of Thomas Kirschoch’s passing. Please let’s pray for the family. The mother & father that lost their beloved son. As well as all the other family members. May he rest in eternaI peace.
Respectively, K. Lupo. 4/26/17
