By Leibel Melech. We are all anticipating traffic tomorrow, and some of us are wondering whether we should participate at all. By joining the tzibbur even if your child isn’t affected by the upcoming cuts, you show that we are one community, united. Remember, it might not affect you this September but if the current plan is put into effect, it will likely affect you in the future. The time to make a stand is now.
I’d like to point out that the world will be watching us tomorrow. As the letter stated, local and state officials will be here. This was on CBS news. You can bet the press will be here. Let’s take this opportunity to make a kiddush Hashem. Let’s all resolve to be courteous and careful with our driving tomorrow.
Please remember to use your turn signals, make safe turns, park safely, DON’T TALK ON YOUR CELL PHONE, and of course, make sure all children are buckled up safely. We should all be driving this way all the time, but we are only human and we get distracted. If we take the time to be mindful and thoughtful about how we drive tomorrow, we have an opportunity to show that we all belong to one group- a group of courteous, respectful & responsible people.
You’ll be sitting in traffic any way you slice it. Let’s use our 2 days of traffic to achieve what the organizers hope and at the same time make a tremendous kiddush Hashem. There need not be a single accident and there need not be a single ticket given out tomorrow. Imagine that! We can make our point in a polite but firm way.

JUST AN IDEA;
I stood at the bus stop this morning without my kids and handed the driver an iced coffee and brownie bar wrapped in a ribbon with a note saying “just something small to keep you company on the route this morning!”
Something small and I’m sure will cause a great Kiddush Hashem!

This is how you should drive everyday, if not then you shouldn’t be on the road. Hope your “show” went as planned and you all smiled for the cameras, heard lots of honking horns in the videos and lots of unsafe stopping and kids hopping out of cars, – but what I don’t understand is why didn’t you go back and pick up your kids at the end of the day.
