Man Walks into Store, Runs off with Over $1,000 in Merchandise

theft prospPolice are looking for a suspect who walked into a Lakewood business today and ran off with merchandise worth over $1,000, TLS has learned.

The suspect reportedly walked into the Prospect Street business shortly before 11 AM, and when the employees looked away, he ran off with the merchandise valued at approximately $1,500.

The suspect then reportedly fled the store and got into a waiting vehicle with two others inside, and fled the area in an unknown direction.

CIU is investigating the incident.

    So you mean there IS a chiluk?

    If so, then the purloined merchandise was “approximately $1,500”, to quote the article, and that is the same as “over $1000”, which is what the headline states.

    And for your information, the headline is just an attention grabber, whereas the body of the article contains the details.

    Finally, unless you are the hapless owner of the establishment, what difference does it really make?
