UPDATED: Pedestrian Struck and Killed on GSP; Heavy Delays

A pedestrian has been struck and killed on the Garden State Parkway this morning, officials confirm, The incident occurred in the area of mile marker 107 South at around 9: 15 AM

Further information on the incident was not immediately available.

As reported on our news alerts (@lakewoodscoop), traffic is heavily backed up in both local and express lanes for the investigation. Use alternate route.

UPDATE 11:15 AM. Traffic is reportedly backed up from about mile marker 118 until 105 due to the incident.
