  1. We should pray for the return of ALL IDF soldiers safely and pray that one day there will be peace in Israel. What people do not realize that without Israel we as Jews are in great danger no matter where we go and where we live. We as American jews owe this to Israel and our people of Israel. Let’s start and raise money for Israel. We raise money for every organization in Lakewood like it is nothing. How about raising funds and praying for their safety.

  2. We should all say tehillim for aron tzvi avigdor ben shifra rochel b’soch kol chayalai eretz yisroe-l – we are in Lakewood, and this is our boy – and these are our soldiers – no limit to what you can have in mind with tehillim – Hashem can handle all the tefillos and each one is His priority.
We hope to hear good news soon iy’h.

  3. How exactly does having a jewish state help the Jews anywhere else? Not to start a political discussion, but if you studied a little history you will notice that Jews lived very peaceful lives (for the most part) in ARAB states until 1948…
It’s only now that we have a state of our own that we so desperately need to protect it.

  4. Curious,

For startes Study history and you will see that in the past Jews had no where to run when they were being slaughtered that there is a country that will take in any Jew no questions asked just because they are Jewish is an unbeivable security that we have not had in about 2000 years.

As far as living in peace with the Arabs if history can teach us one thing it is that non jews never need an excuse to turn on Jews and kill them. The Arabs were sometimes fine with Jews as long as they were a subservient minority the second that changed they started murdeing them. I would rather depend on Hashem and an Army then depend on Hashem and the “good will” of non Jews. That hasn’t ended well historically.

  5. Curious,

I guess you must of skipped out a few lessons when you learned your history. 1929 Hebron massacre, what was that all about? What about March 1920 when Jews were attacked by large numbers of Arabs from the village of Halsa and eight Jews were killed. In 1945 Jews were attacked in Tripoli and many other cities. the list goes on..

  6. Forget the schmaltzy car magnets. The old school message which we should practice with more intensity and display as reminders on our vehicles should be: Just Daven!!!! And the rest of you, stop the schmoozing during davening. Wake up!!!
