VIDEO & PHOTOS: LFD Battling Structure Fire in Downtown Home

imageVIDEO & PHOTOS: [UPDATED] The Lakewood Fire Department is battling a fully-engulfed structure fire in a Downtown home, officials says.

The fire department received a call at about 3 a.m. for the reports of a structure fire on 2nd Street, and upon arrival located a fully-engulfed fire in a home above one of the downtown shops.

The occupants have reportedly escaped safely, along with their pets.

It’s unknown at this time if ‎any other shops were affected.

UPDATE 4 a.m. The fire has been brought under control.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Red Cross has responded for the displaced residents.
