CVS Pharmacy on River Avenue Robbed at Gunpoint

PHOTO: The CVS Pharmacy on River Avenue in Lakewood was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning, officials say.

Shortly after 1 AM, a man, dressed in all black, reportedly pointed a handgun at the clerk and proceeded to rob the store.

The suspect made off with unknown proceeds and reportedly fled towards Williams Street.

Police are searching the area.

CSI is investigating the incident.

Does a criminal rob the store closest to his home? Not typically. He most likely had a car parked on Williams ( it is a dark street at that hour) and got in it to get home.
