A man previously arrested for allegedly stealing Pushkas (charity boxes) from several Lakewood establishments was arrested yesterday again, TLS has learned.
The suspect, police say, walked into a Clifton Avenue store on Monday and grabbed a Pushka before fleeing. The store clerks phoned police and gave them a description of the subject.
A short time later, Officer Carney spotted the suspect attempting to change his clothing in the area of the tracks, sources say.
The man was arrested and is expected to be charged with theft.
The same suspect allegedly stole a Pushka from BP Graphics and at least one other business last year, police say.
