3-way Stop Coming to Downtown Intersection

2nd lexThe intersection of Second Street and Lexington Avenue will soon become a 3-way stop.

The intersection, which has seen numerous accidents, currently only has stop signs in the north and south bound directions on Lexington Avenue. A third stop sign will be added to the one-way eastbound 2nd Street.

The stop sign will be installed following a second reading of the Township resolution.

  1. Agreed! we need to put together a petition to remove all the 4 way stops installed throughout town! Let’s start the petition right here. They are an absolute disaster. They increase traffic immensely. My drive to anywhere in Lakewood has doubled in time since these have been installed. They are dangerous as well, as it is always a game of “survival of the fittest” as the deciding factor in who’s turn it is. Just in general a disaster!
